Christmas Morning in South Korea 2013
Snug and warm indoors! One improvement in my life came last fall with the landlord installing a new "boiler" to heat my apartment. It's -3 C [26.6 F] outside with a light breeze. Inside, it's 25 C [77 F]! My cat and I both love the "ondol" (heated floor). When it was first turned on, Bobo walked a few steps, looked carefully at the floor, then laid down on it. After a minute, he repeated the action several times, trying out every square foot of the floor, even searching into the corners. He clearly approves!

First Entry ll/22/2011
Gwangmyeong, Gyonggi-do, Republic of Korea.
Getting ready for classes. 8:30 AM
I teach conversational English to adults at the Ha-an Community Center for 12 hours a week, and also tutor some children privately. I love living in Korea! The people are so friendly and hospitable. I truly feel like I have a bigger circle of friends here than I had in Maine.
